Have you noticed that some of the channels on your Freesat system have gone?
Yes! I hear you cry.
Where have they gone, and will I ever get them back?
Well if you’ve been looking for the answer, then I’m happy to say we have it here. You see over the last week or so a range of technical alterations were taking place with the satellite transponders which are responsible for broadcasting those missing channels. The maintenance work was carried out between the 2nd to the 10th of October 2013.
Now, with that work being finished those missing channels will now be available again.
OK, then, why can’t I see them now, since the work has been completed?
Well, let me help you out. If your channels are missing from your TV guide, then there are a couple of things you’ll need to do in order to get them back.
1. Put your Freesat box or Freesat TV in standby mode for a minute, then switch it back on again, and for some of you the system will automatically reboot and find those missing channels. Or not.
2. If that hasn’t fixed it, then you will have to retune your digibox or Freesat TV. This will mean going into systems, and doing a channel scan if that option is there or performing an install, which basically means you will get your box to install all the channels again just like when you first got it.
If grappling with your Freesat system is a bit too much for you, then give us a call on 0800 433 4918 and we can send an engineer out to retune your Freesat system.
